Do you want God to be at the centre of your business but are struggling to make it happen?

The first ever Christians in Business national conference aims to inspire and encourage you to run your business in line with Kingdom-principles.

Our inspirational speakers will show you how you can run your business so it will impact your employees, your customers and the community – spreading the good news of Jesus as it does.

Keynote speaker for the day is Gary Grant, the incredible founder and executive chairman of The Entertainer chain of toy shops, who will share his fascinating story of faith and business.

The conference, which is for Christian business owners and senior decision makers, takes place in the city in the centre of England, Derby (80% of the population live less than two hours away), and includes a delicious lunch.

And as well as hearing our life-changing talks, you’ll also get the chance to network with other Christian business leaders with the same mind-set as you!

Our speakers:

Gary Grant, The Entertainer

The Entertainer was founded in 1981 by husband and wife team, Gary and Catherine Grant, who now, with two of their sons, instil the driving force and mission – “To be the best-loved toyshop – one child, one community at a time”. Today, it continues to be the largest family-owned toy retailer in the UK with a total of 166 stores.

Although Gary runs a highly successful business, ethics always come first. The Entertainer has a Sunday no-working policy as it believes its staff work hard so it reserves the day for them to relax with their friends and family. Also recognised for its charitable giving, The Entertainer tithes 10% of its net annual profit to charity each year.

Mark and Kerry Saxby, Status Social

Status Social was one of the first specialist social media agencies in the UK when it began life in 2011. It has worked with more than three thousand business people and organisations including Vision Express, Marriot Hotels and the NHS.

Since becoming a “values-led business”, Status Social has experienced terrific growth and seen lives impacted both inside and outside the business. Mark and Kerry will talk about how the company’s culture has inspired the reconciliation of marriages, changed young people’s lives and successfully tackled work-place anxiety. Leaders from some of the UK’s largest companies have visited Status Social to learn how they can do things differently.

Luke Gratton, Compassion UK

Compassion is a leading children’s charity with a relentless passion to empower every child left vulnerable by poverty. Luke is the Head of Partnerships (Midlands, Wales & Ireland) for Compassion UK. He is an experienced leadership and management professional with a history of working for both corporate and non-profit organisations.

Luke will be speaking about how your organisation can be involved in social change, making a real difference to those outside your business.

Dave Ayling, Elim Pentecostal

The Elim Pentecostal Church is a growing movement of more than 550 Christian congregations in the UK and Ireland. Dave has led City Church for over 15 years. He is passionate about building a dynamic and healthy church that impacts its community and changes the atmosphere of the city. He is involved in overseeing churches in Germany and Macedonia and works with Elim International Missions.

Dave will be discussing our calling as Christians to business, asking questions like why we’re there? What we can do? And how can we serve God?
